We have an exciting position open within Caterpillar in the Earthmoving Division, a multi-billion dollar division. We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to serve as the Axiom System Administrator for the division. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and perform complex accounting work that supports divisional processes. The position is primarily focused on financial system support and development for our FP&A processes and supporting our Earthmoving Mission Control initiative. This position interacts with and presents to division senior leadership, including the Division CFO.

This position will offer you the opportunity to provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting support to a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This role will encourage you to demonstrate and develop your communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with providing avenues to interact regularly with senior management within Earthmoving and other groups throughout the enterprise.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical expertise and perform complex accounting work that supports business processes.

  • Lead system development and process improvement projects.

  • Resolve issues independently.

  • Participate on and lead teams addressing complex problems.

  • Partner with Earthmoving Data Analytics team to support Earthmoving Mission Control developments.

What You Have:

  • Education / Experience : This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 4-6 years of job-related experience.

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Financial Reporting : Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

  • Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • CM A or CPA

  • Experience with Axiom, Microsoft Apps, or other ETL tools

  • Process improvement focus
