Are you a creative, strategic thinker looking to make an impact?

We are looking for a highly organized and detail orientated Marketing Event Consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive Rental and Used experiential marketing strategy. In this role, you be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing innovative event marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement.

In Caterpillar Rental and Used (R&U) our mission is to support the Cat dealer network to deliver customer rental solutions and profitably grow dealer rental revenue, customers, and coverage. You will be a part of a very rewarding endeavor to grow rental customers by providing a platform to engage and interact with prospects, increase brand visibility, generate leads, and gather market insights.

What you can look forward to in this role:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, promotional events, and networking events.

  • Conducting market/competitive research to identify new opportunities and building effective customer event, sponsorship, and national account marketing strategies.

  • Establishing metrics to monitor and review the effectiveness of marketing strategies, suggesting necessary interventions for improvement.

  • Maintaining effective internal communications and align with overall R&U Marketing Strategy.

  • Develop and implement innovative and impactful sponsorship activation plans that align with customer growth goals.

  • Develop National Account marketing strategy in coordination with National Account Mangers (create campaign creative assets, drive utilization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud; including journey development) to gain share of voice and drive growth with National Account customers.

  • Partner with Rental and Used (R&U) social marketing lead to support social content marketing strategies and tactical plans.

  • Collaborate with team to have cross-channel alignment, audience messaging and targeting, and customer experience

  • Act as lead for development and maintenance of self-service promotional merchandise site.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

  • Event coordination and marketing support.

  • Working with a global, matrixed organization.

  • Developing and managing programs, working with cross-functional teams across internal and external business partners.

  • Developing and delivering persuasive presentations, recommendations, proposals, and business cases that inspire action.

  • General understanding of the technical aspects of event marketing (tradeshows, sponsorships)

  • Working on large/complex marketing initiatives and/or working with large brands/complex organizations.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

  • Ability to take complex marketing concepts and translate into language appropriate for executive leadership, management, and project team members.

  • Comfortable communicating with multiple audiences both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to “roll up your sleeves” and execute in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reputation as being “easy to work with” with a positive, resilient mentality.

  • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile and fast-paced environment.

  • Skilled at problem solving and proposing creative/non-traditional solutions to problems.

  • Excellent communication skills – always focused on matching the right message to the audience.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers, stakeholders, leaders, dealer personnel and customers.

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and project management skills

  • Ability to flex into and off projects depending on workload.

  • High sense of urgency to accomplish projects on time and on/under budget.

Travel Requirements: Up to 40%

The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL.
