This position within the Motor Grader engineering team will focus on A3 project execution following Lean Product and Process methodology. This position will interface with Motor Grader leadership, technical leaders, and enterprise partners. This role will serve mainly in a project leader capacity as we transform our product development processes. The initial focus will be on R&D efficiency including validation processes and workload distribution. Additional aspects of the job will relate to Lean leadership within the product group. This may involve additional transformation projects across the Motor Grader business.

What You Will Do:

  • Execution of transformation projects following the Lean Product and Process development methodology.

  • Lead projects to reduce product development time to market.

  • Lead projects focused on work distribution and control systems in Motor Grader product development.

  • Lead projects focused on Lean champion within the Product Group.

  • Engage in divisional Lean improvement projects.

What You Will Have:

  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of percent new content, PERG, and reliability validation methods

  • Understanding of current machine reliability processes and methods

  • Basic skills in Lean Product and Process Development

  • Understanding of Agile

  • Project Management: Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadline and deliver results. Ability to juggle various projects with competing priorities, maintaining focus, and driving progress across all initiatives.

  • Influencing: Strong influencing skills, capable of driving change and garnering support from stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Thorough understanding of engineering product development processes, enabling effective influence for complex projects.

  • Problem Solving : Proven track record to excellent technical problem-solving abilities, enabling effective navigation of challenges, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • In depth Lean Product and Process Development Skills including effective use of Obeya, Kanban, resource leveling, value stream mapping, and past demonstrated continuous improvement.

  • Component and/or machine system level design or product validation skills (machine, component).

  • Experience with NPI and quality processes including APQP execution and tools.

Additional Info:

  • Location is Peoria, IL

  • Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.

  • This position may require up to 10% travel.

  • ISE assignments are not available.
