Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving products from concept to completion? Do you excel at strategizing for both the main market and the aftermarket, ensuring products remain valuable throughout their lifecycle? If so, we invite you to lead our dynamic product management team as the Manager of Product Lifecycle and Aftermarket. In this pivotal role, you will shape the future of our product offerings and aftermarket services, driving growth and innovation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Caterpillar’s Earthmoving Division is seeking a Manager of Product Lifecycle & Aftermarket to oversee the entire lifecycle of the Medium Tractor Products portfolio, from inception through to end-of-life.

What You Will Do:

  • Product Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement product lifecycle management strategies and product roadmaps in alignment with company objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and aftermarket opportunities.

  • Product Development and Launch: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to guide product development from concept to launch.

  • Product Performance and Optimization: Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market conditions to identify opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies for product enhancements, cost reductions, and efficiency improvements.

  • Aftermarket Services: Develop and manage a comprehensive aftermarket strategy, including parts, service, and support. Collaborate with service teams to ensure the availability of high-quality aftermarket products and services. Implement marketing and sales strategies to drive aftermarket revenue and enhance customer loyalty.

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from introduction to growth, maturity, and eventual phase-out. Develop and execute end-of-life plans, including inventory management, customer communication, and transition strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

What You Have:

  • Experience in product management, with a focus on lifecycle management and aftermarket services.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing products from concept through end-of-life.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of adaptability.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field

  • Proficiency with product management tools and software.

  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
