Role Overview:

This position manages a large team of both experienced professionals and team leaders across functions, manages medium to large-sized programs or multiple small programs. Monitors strategic planning efforts, presents progress reports and value-stream strategy, recommends solutions for program problems, manages the P&L of programs and multiple vendors, and supports contract negotiation.

Specific responsibilities of this role include:

-Leads medium to large or multiple small programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.

-Manages the P& L of the program to ensure profitability targets are met, and manages multiple vendors.

-Develops milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs to ensure that the organization’s objectives are met.

-Monitors, consolidates, and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s), and manages value-stream strategy and progress.

-Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.

-Supports the development of new business growth strategies.

-Supports the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.

-Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.

-Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

-Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead both tactical and strategic initiatives

• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret complex documents, reports, briefings, and business correspondences

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and develop solutions

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a multi-functional environment and navigate a rapid changing environment

• Ability to present across the organization, including senior management and executives

• Conflict management/resolution skills/ strong verbal and written communication skills

• Adjusts personally to high pressure, rapidly changing business conditions and uncertain business environments

• Drives obligations to closure with precision

• Customer centric, highly energetic, process driven and analytical individual

• Identifies root causes of problems, secures relevant information, and identifies robust and sustainable solutions.

• Strong Lean manufacturing knowledge with understanding of RCCA analysis, Kaizen and value stream mapping

Education:

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP Certification
