The Professional Education Program Manager will create & provide best-in-class training curriculum and education for the Cardiology community to support best in class outcomes with Impella and heart recovery for our patients.

This role requires working with a wide range of Cardiology specialties including Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Heart Failure, and General Cardiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute monthly in person trainings, such as hospital-based courses and wet labs, support tradeshow and conference symposia as needed

  • Develop courses utilizing our KOL community and centers of excellence to support product utilization and clinical needs of customers

  • Responsible for creating agendas, aligning hospital personnel and Abiomed resources, coordination of KOL faculty, through collaboration with PPD team to ensure impactful learner experience

  • Implement standards and ​best practices to ensure the successful planning and execution of Professional Education programs compliantly, within budget, and with a high level of quality

  • Partner cross functionally internally and with commercial teams to understand professional education needs

  • Deliver higher-level training to a variety of clinical stakeholders through in-person settings

  • Maintain expertise and knowledge in relation to Company products and procedures, as well as current literature, key clinical papers, and trends in the industry

  • Identify and contract with key education suppliers, third party vendors, and hospital partners

  • Ensure Maximum attendance at prof Ed courses through promotion though commercial team and all Abiomed channels. Programs should be filled to 100% capacity

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • National travel 1/month at minimum could include Friday plus weekend travel. Course attendance mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • 5 years medical device industry and/or clinical experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing leadership in marketing, training, project management or operational department roles is required

  • Excellent training skills, with the ability to clearly communicate product and therapy information to a variety of healthcare professionals

  • Knowledge of the cardiovascular medical device marketplace and healthcare environment, ideally with deep expertise in cardiovascular clinical therapies and/or end-user experience with Impella products

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $112,000 - $179,400

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
