Kellanova Area Sales Manager in Phoenix, Arizona

As an Area Sales Manager , Away From Home leading our Central and West Regional Retailers and Distributors. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the broker account team to deliver sales objectives, optimize trade, and align channel strategy to maximize our gross sales and operating profit. This is a remote position and can be located in the Central or West Region of the United States.

The role will be remote based; however, will travel up to 50% to visit customers and broker partners in the field. You will be eligible for our Fleet Program:

  • Auto Vehicle Reimbursement: allows you to choose what you drive and be reimbursed for business use of your own vehicle

  • You will receive a $65 monthly stipend for cell phone usage

    A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams within marketing, finance, commercial strategy, and broker partner to develop joint business plans and execute channel strategy.

  • Account Development: Collaborate with Acosta Broker Team to create annual joint Business Plans for category buyers. Set objectives for brand support, including merchandising, promotions, advertising, shelf space, pricing, and new products. Leverage business intelligence data to craft a compelling selling story for customers and Kellanova.

  • Strategy & Execution: Partner with key decision makers. Leveraging business intelligence data, you will create a selling story to drive the business for your customers and Kellanova.

  • Budget Management: Achieve key profit and loss metrics through delivering on account-level priorities, JBP commitments, distribution gains, participating in both demand and trade strategy/planning, carefully monitoring spending, and making proactive corrections to adhere to planning accuracy goals.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Diverse skill set in sales experience, category management/analytics, people management, and/or broker management

  • Account Management Experience (i.e., Headquarters, District, Region, or Market level)

  • Strong understanding of analytics and ability to use multiple sources to build a selling story (i.e., Account Data, Scan Data, POS Data, Nielson, etc.)

  • Experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to drive to multiple locations

  • High school diploma or equivalent
