Description/Overview: :

It begins with a Card Member using an American Express Card at one of our millions of proprietary Merchants around the world, then processing that transaction, and getting the merchant paid, is up to us. The Merchant Platforms & Capabilities (MP&C) Products team is at the heart of the proprietary transaction process. We power billions of transactions leading to merchants being paid and continuing to welcome American Express cardmembers and their cards.

We are looking for a talented Associate, Digital Product Management to join the MP&C Products team in delivering efficient, effective, predictable, and compliant transaction processing. The success of the role will depend on your ability to maintain, improve, and expand transaction processing capabilities provided to our Merchants and Partners around the world. The Associate, Digital Product Management should be strategic and a detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced role within the organization.

You will work among high performing product, process, and engineering teams. You will have a passion for both technology and business solutions and an eye on industry trends. Working with our partners you will develop and prioritize features that optimize shareholder value while solving customer problems. Key Job Responsibilities:

This Associate, Digital Product Management will:

  • Actively participate to design the capability roadmap to enable business processes that support the transaction processing products

  • Identify product solutions for short term tactical needs and long-term strategy

  • Deliver tools & capabilities based on customer needs, competitive analysis and market and technology trends

  • Lead feature and user story definition sessions

  • Establish acceptance criteria, test strategy, and write user acceptance test cases.

  • Lead scope prioritization sessions and backlog grooming

  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, business partners, and technology partners

  • Support governance processes for assigned product(s)

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in converting business requirements to tech features

  • Experience in working with technology as partners and working as one team

  • Strong understanding of the Product Management lifecycle, with specific application of Scaled Agile delivery

  • Knowledge of merchant transaction processing capabilities

  • Understanding of Distributed systems, APIs, hands on experience on Hive, Python, SQL

  • Ability to gate-keep and manage scope

  • Ability to think globally and drive standardization in processes and capabilities (May be required to "act locally" where governed by compliance, legal, or market-specific requirements)

  • Proven track record of communication, influence, and leadership without authority

  • Demonstration of skill in gathering and facilitating definition and clarity on needs translated into high quality features and user stories.

  • Ability to drive innovation, communicate effectively, and influence without authority are necessary leadership attributes of the successful candidate

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
