The GTOS Training, Communications, & Marketing team creates communication, training, and marketing materials to get information to customers and help drive adoption of new or changed processes and tools. While the GTOS organization is made up of very technical and process-oriented colleagues, our challenging and fun job is to take their message and make it understandable by the least technical person, as well as make it visually engaging and eye-catching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Simplify complex messages into user intuitive communications

  • Test and proofread all documentation before publishing material (i.e., newsletters, web pages, training modules, process documents, and marketing material)

  • Create infographics and presentations to help tell the story for varied audience levels

  • Coordinate and host small to large WebEx meetings for infoshare events

  • Adhere to American Express editorial and branding guidelines for communication consistency

  • Adhere to design best practices and standards

  • Find opportunities to adopt innovative ideas related to communication practices

  • Assist with engagement requests - capturing and tracking takeaways from project discussions with customers

  • Maintain calendar of communications and status reporting for all communication requests

  • Assist with creating instructional and teaser videos using a variety of movie/video making tools

  • Analyze customer feedback and help develop strategies to improve overall communications

  • Assist with general inquiries that come through the team’s mailbox

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required or prior relevant Technology and business work experience

  • Strong written communication skills with ability to proofread, edit, spell check, etc.

  • Fluency with design tools, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

  • Ability to simplify and turn complex interactions into intuitive user experiences

  • Experience in a Customer Service organization with demonstrated passion and ability to identify customer needs and drive improvement

  • Flexibility to support our global customers across various time zones

  • Ability to handle multiple work streams and ad hoc tasks simultaneously

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • UX design experience a plus

  • Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript a plus
