Business Unit Description:
We are looking to hire a Director, Enterprise Personalization Decision Science, within the Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) division at American Express. CFR is responsible for managing the net loss provision for American Express, reducing fraud related losses, and enabling profitable growth in close collaboration with business teams. The group manages multiple critical functions for the company including underwriting strategies for credit products, ongoing exposure management of existing customers, developing and managing credit & fraud risk models, and developing policies pertaining to credit and collections.
The Credit & Fraud division employs more than 1,450 professionals, located in 20 offices around the world.
General Role Summary:
The Director, Enterprise Personalization Decision Science, will be responsible for developing machine learning and data science solutions to personalize digital prospect experience in global markets at enterprise level. The candidate will push innovations in digital marketing space, data & feature engineering and modeling techniques to drive new customer acquisition and business values in partnership with analytics, product, technology and marketing teams.
Design and develop machine learning models to target profitable audiences across AXP website. Deploy the audience and partner with analytics and marketing team to set up campaigns.
Deliver contextually relevant website content to personalize prospect visitor journey and drive incremental conversions.
Lead research to identify additional data intelligence that improves the model performance and work with product, platform and technology team to enable the data feed.
Identify new marketing areas, opportunities, objective functions and deliver modeling solutions to drive growth in revenue.
Collaborate with teams from analytics, product, technology and marketing functions to manage End-to-End modeling solution process.
Driving operational excellence, and robust governance of models and data strategy across various use cases.
The Director, Enterprise Personalization Decision Science should possess the following leadership competencies:

Extensive experience and strong working knowledge of machine learning techniques. Ability to formulate real business problems under modeling framework and develop solutions.
Deep understanding of digital marketing innovation on campaign setups, site optimization, content personalization.
Ability to transform, adapt and evolve their/team's role with business needs
A people leader focused on developing a high performing team; internal and external relationship builder and collaborator
Strong data handling skills; ability to derive business insights from data and model outcomes, and convert into valuable and actionable information.
