As the global leader in the corporate payments’ solutions space, we continue to be an exciting and fast-growing business. GCS is a core operating group of American Express and has delivered increased growth over the past decade. GCS partners with corporate clients to support them as they manage business expenses and make large purchases through proprietary payment solutions and expense management tools. The Early Tenure team is a newly created team within the GCS G&L Business.
The Global & Large Sales Manager, Early Tenure (Individual Contributor) primary responsibility is to provide oversight to the client’s onboarding experience and manage their introduction to American Express during their first 60-90 days as a client. The Early Tenure team leverages their expertise to understand the client need, educate, and provide solutions while maintaining loyal customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as strategic resource in new client onboarding and own the relationship for the first 60-90 days of American Express tenure
Work with Sales and Implementation team to identify gaps in process and support escalations to resolution
Enhance the customer experience post – implementation by identifying key client opportunities and resolving client issues when they arise
Own and Drive early tenure strategy to achieve business/client goals and achieve growth targets from newly acquired client accounts
Ensure all aspects of the American Express Code of Conduct, and our Sales Practices policies, standard, and procedures, are adhered to so that we uphold the highest standards in our interactions with our customers and compliantly meet all regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Experience partnering with large and global clients across various markets / industries
3 years Global payments experience
Project management and organization skills
Effective and thoughtful communicator
Comfortable working with senior level internally/externally
Experience in a highly regulated industry
Proactively and consistently demonstrates the value of partnering with American Express
Results focused
Demonstrates a competitive, positive attitude, quickly adapts to different situations, and recovers from setbacks
Understands at a tactical level market/industry key competitors, challenges, terminology, technology, trends, and regulation
Strategic thinker and problem solver
Client onboarding experience (preferred)
Knowledge of American Express Global Commercial Services (preferred)
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
