Business Overview

Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) Organization within American Express helps drive profitable business growth by reducing the credit & fraud risk and maintaining our customers’ confidence in the security of the Digital Products. It utilizes an array of tools and ever-evolving technology to detect and combat risk, minimize the disruption of good spending, and provide a world class customer experience. The Digital Risk Products & Data Strategy (RPDS) team within CFR is the backbone of all risk decisions and help in building the digital software Digital Products for risk management across customer lifecycle i.e., Onboarding, Credit Underwriting, Authorizations, Collections across card & non card business globally.

Job Responsibilities

There are diverse set of roles within Digital Product job family, with varying responsibilities and skill requirements. We aim to develop next generation software Digital Products and solutions to solve risk management needs using latest tools and technologies. Collaborate with multiple risk strategy partners, technology teams and other Digital Product teams to build & iterate on Digital Products that directly impact millions of customers and prospects.

A brief description of the roles and skills is outlined below:

Digital Product Management

  • Create Digital Product vision and drive end-to-end Digital Product development including market research, competitive analysis, roadmap planning, prioritization, rationalization/globalization, feature & user story development, Digital Product design and launch

Digital Product Solutions Design

  • Manage the implementation of risk Digital Products, drive global, reusable & configurable design, prioritization, rule authoring, testing, integration, and Digital Product launch using low-code tools. This cluster includes a diverse set of roles, with varying technical requirements from Low-Code tools to Pro-Code programming skills

Selected candidate will be allocated to one of these roles depending on the fitment, business needs and candidate's choice and experience.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Ability to drive project deliverables to achieve business results

  • Ability to build positive relationships, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners to drive ground-breaking change

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with sophisticated, unstructured initiatives

  • Customer-centered design approach and experience developing software Digital Products or services in partnership with different business partners globally

  • Experience in prototyping, iterative development, Scaled Agile Framework, and handling a backlog of initiatives optimally

  • Knowledge of SQL, SAS, Java, Hive, Yellow Brick, or Python is a plus

  • Knowledge of MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, econometrics, or equivalent field of study

  • Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, econometrics, or another equivalent field of study preferred

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an agile Digital Product Development/Owner role. 5 years of experience in Digital Product Development /Owner required for Senior Manager role

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
