The Global Card Issuance team manages service partners that provide card manufacturing, issuance and project support for all proprietary American Express cards globally. This role concentrates on inventory management within the Strategy, Inventory, & Transformation team.

This role will be responsible for achieving business goals, by leading teams responsible for US, Canada, Mexico, and Argentina inventory (US/LACC). The role is focuses on inventory, encompassing: management, orders, forecasts, shipments, planning, projects, process improvements, strategies, managing suppliers, and partnering with business & stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the strategy and roadmap for inventory team.

  • Prioritize and resource team to ensure inventory is optimized.

  • Identify, assess, develop, drive, & implement new opportunities & improvements.

  • Lead & support projects impacting or involving inventory in role of Project Manager.

  • Leverage team of analysts to support projects and lead efforts.

  • Ensure ongoing optimization of inventory levels to prevent stock outs, prevent destruction, and ensure cards & materials are available when & where they are needed on time.

  • Lead relationship & ongoing discussions with several key suppliers: status updates, new developments, order tracking, issue resolution, and more.

  • Partner with multiple organizations including Finance, Operations, Capabilities, Technologies, Compliance, Brand, Marketing, 3rd party vendors, and others to drive results.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members.

  • Ability to travel domestically & internationally for projects and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong strategic and thought leadership skills.

  • Strong project management experience and skills.

  • Results driven with the ability to effectively manage projects & initiatives to completion.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a process(es) effectively while meeting goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive efforts with diverse customer groups & stakeholders.

  • Adept at problem solving and quantitative analysis using superior analytical skills.

  • Strong ability to translate data, information, & analytics into impactful insights & actionable outcomes.

  • Adept at developing recommendations/proposals to solve tactical & strategic problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop & implement robust plans, across short-term and long-term.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or in teams.

  • Ability to communicate with senior leadership in a clear, consistent manner.

  • Strong demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate.

  • Ability to focus on strategic objectives and initiatives while managing everyday business needs.

  • Strong sense of personal accountability and demonstrated self-starter.

  • Experience and knowledge with common software (e.g. Excel) or inventory tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent preferred

  • 3 years of proven experience preferred.

  • People Leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
