Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join the Estimating & Pricing department. In this role, the individual will be responsible for supporting the development of the proposal cost and pricing data for spares programs in accordance with the Request for Proposal (RFP) / Statement of Work (SOW). The Analyst will directly participate in the development, coordination, and submission of the standard cost and pricing packages that utilize consistent estimating and pricing procedures.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Request estimates from functional groups or generate estimate data

• Perform analytical studies of past performance to establish estimating factors

• Review and evaluate estimates for adequate, accurate, current, reasonableness, and completeness

• Prepare cost summaries and narrative analysis or explanation of cost estimates

• Ensure timely response to proposal deadlines and customer requests

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Business) and two (2) years experience, or an Associates in a related field and four (4) years experience; or related experience

• Working knowledge of parametric, bottoms up and estimating techniques

• Analytical skills with the ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures

• Advanced computer applications including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)

• Excellent communication skills

• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with external and internal customers

• Detailed-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time

• Organization and time management skills to meet hard deadlines

• Ability to work both independently and with teams

• Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standard (CAS)

• Government contracting and proposal process

• Cost volumes and Basis of Estimate (BOE)

• Proposal pricing

• ProPricer

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58300 - $99100

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
