The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. Membership Portfolio Services is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. Each of the businesses within Membership Portfolio Services connect Card Members with Merchants - a key differentiator of our Membership Model - and which also represent a significant opportunity to help drive our growth over the mid-to-long term.

Amex Offers sits within the Membership Portfolio Services Team.

Launched in 2012, Amex Offers is a digital advertising platform that connects Merchants and brands with the tens of millions of American Express Card Members across the globe. The Amex Offers team develops strategic marketing partnerships that deliver unique differentiated value for Merchants and Advertisers to reach high-spending Card Members in the digital channels where they engage with American Express, delivering deep insights and maximizing results. Through this complete marketing solution, we can help advertisers get laser-focused on who our mutual customers are, what they want, and how we can meet their needs.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Senior Manager, Amex Offers Payments and Accounting is part of the Amex Offers Global Operations Center of Excellence within Amex Offers Digital Media. This individual will report directly to the Director of Amex Offers Global Operations and Oversight and be responsible for supporting the financial and operational processes for Amex Offers Digital Media.

The successful candidate will play a critical role managing the end-to-end invoicing of merchants who participate in Amex Offers along with other finance activities, providing invoice and collections reporting and analytics, supporting effective collection methods, and driving invoicing technology enhancements through automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage processes for producing and distributing invoices to merchants

  • Monitor payment status and drive collection goals through strong communication across Marketing and Client Management partners

  • Drive and influence technology workstreams to enhance the invoicing and collections processes

  • Partner with Finance, Controllership and the Business to manage accounting activities, reconcile receivable accounts, and support budget utilization

  • Develop reports for senior leadership highlighting payment and collections results and trends as well as key program updates

  • Lead risk analysis and implement risk management practices

  • Proactively develop best practices, communication strategies, and new processes to drive invoicing and collection goals

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to the Amex Offers Digital Media team on campaign setup and related accounting activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting function including exposure to accounts receivable processes and reconciliation activities

  • Hands-on experience working on financial analytics using large amounts of data

  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills with top-notch attention to detail and the ability to move projects forward independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Quick learner with ability to adopt new tools and systems

  • Ability to work cross functionally, effectively influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships with partners at all levels

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; adept at developing presentations for senior leadership

  • Self-starter and problem solver with positive and professional attitude; willingness to pitch in and go above and beyond

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
