Focus:

Responsible for driving quality work through automation including tools, processes, metrics, environments, and data. Delivers and drives automation strategy. Reviews progress and makes recommendations for areas of opportunities/improvements, including automation & tool usage. Responsible for collaboration across teams and demonstration of ownership. Provides strategic mentorship to development teams and lower-level engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads, drives, and delivers automation and test strategies.

  • Drives optimization and innovation by developing and enhancing automation and testing processes.

  • Leads strategy around testing tools and methodologies.

  • Responsible for all testing activities within the organization’s platform and collaborates with all partners and E2E delivery teams to achieve high quality standards.

  • Report quality metrics; identify patterns, gaps/risks, and opportunities from the metrics to drive innovation and improvement.

  • Partners and aligns with senior leadership to drive continuous improvements in quality and performance.

  • Collaborates with development resources and product/project teams to drive improvements in overall quality, automation, and testing processes and techniques.

  • Investigate new open-source technologies which could improve current frameworks and implement where appropriate.

  • Fully understands the platform roadmap and quality priorities to proactively envision scalable, resilient high performing solutions; able to identify reusability at platform level and drive the tooling and overall delivery strategy to stay ahead of technology standards.

  • Collaborates with business partners to drive optimal process standards.

  • Present potential solutions to challenges encountered during testing/automation.

  • Establish and maintain efficient and effective CI/CD pipelines, drive the strategy and the governance of automation and testing in a CI/CD environment, ensure development pipeline standards.

  • Establishes and improves CI/CD capabilities.

  • Identifies and submit new tools for review, promote innovation, and efficiency.

  • Highlights any security risk and provide recommendation for remediation.

  • Ensures alignment on program test principles, exception testing, which pertains to global functionality keeping test suites lean.

  • Understands the limitations of the current solutions, identify potential gaps/risk, and recommends creative solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in quality engineering and test automation.

  • 5 years of experience in engineering in cloud ecosystems.

  • 7 years of experience using python and/or java, testing APIs, and designing CI/CD pipelines.

  • 5 years developing and deploying automated data quality tests.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in support of modern test strategies

  • Proven experience with Agile, Agile at scale (SAFe), other rapid application development methods, and SDLC

  • Expertise in solutioning and framework strategy with industry standard functional and performance testing tools, proficient in more than one coding language

  • Any of the following test certifications - QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB - are a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
