Our location in Plymouth, MN , currently has an opportunity for a Process Development Engineer 1 .
THIS IS AN ON-SITE DAILY POSITION.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for process development, equipment specification, acquisition and implementation.
Works to identify root cause using structured problem solving.
Understands engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
Analyzes and solves problems frombasic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advancedproblems which require novel and new innovative approaches or a major breakthrough in technology.
Completes design of experiments, validation, completion of testing and analysis of data for continuous improvement activities. Presents data to equipment teams.
Suggests and supports new methods or materials for continual improvement of quality and efficiency.
Analyzes current equipment for process suitability and provides detailed plans for improvement
Creates and revises manufacturing documents, specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety instructions, validation protocols, risk assessments, and procedures and other technical documents to ensure compliant, efficient and safe procedures
Works with other engineers and technicians in developing solutions and improvements in materials, equipment and process as necessary
Participates in teams as necessary to ensure continual improvement, safety and compliance
Provides training and process expertise for product processing in specific areas such as process development, tooling development and validation.
Interacts cross functionally and with internal and external customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree plus 0-2+ years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Minimum Experience / Training Required
(Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures. General understanding of business unit/group function. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.;
(Cognitive Skills) Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.

The base pay for this position is $48,000.00 – $96,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
