Job Summary:

As a Heat Treat Operator at Caterpillar Pontiac, you will set up and operate heat-treating equipment to perform induction hardening and/or furnace hardening and tempering.

What you will do:

• Set up, operate, and adjust heat treating equipment

• Monitoring the heat treatment cycle

• Operate gas generating equipment to harden iron to specific specifications.

What you must have:

• Previous machine shop/production experience

• Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Top candidates will also have:

• Basic computer skills

• Understanding of gauges and quality systems/ standards

• Ability and willingness to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs

• Attention to detail

Available Shift Information:

• 2nd: Monday-Friday 3:00PM-11:00PM

• 3rd: Sunday- Thursday 11:00PM-7:00AM

Additional Information:

• Starting pay is $23.00 ($22.25base + $0.75 night shift premium)

• You will also qualify for $3.00 an hour retention bonus
