A Sous Chefis responsible forassistingwith the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of cooking experience, experience in banquets or high-volume production and plating execution, and a desire to grow into a leadership role.

This role requires a leader who can inspire, guide, and build a cohesive kitchen team while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency in food production.Hotel experience is a must! Fine dining, upscale dining and menu development are a plus!

What will I be doing?

As Sous Chef, you wouldbe responsible forassistingwith the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, a Sous Chef wouldbe responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, preparation and production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulation, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability

  • Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage, as needed

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety,sanitationand alcohol awareness standards

  • Assistin monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conductingcounselingandassistingwith evaluations, training,schedulingand assigning work and delivering recognition and reward

The salary for this position is $65,000.
