Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Manager - This position may be based in Decatur, IL; Quincy, IL; Harvard, IL

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Global Head Regulatory Affairs this position will collaborate closely with the broader regulatory & scientific affairs team.

  • Lead a team of 5 Regulatory specialists in NAM and Canada focused on Animal Nutrition and Pet regulatory affairs and compliance

  • Provide advice and act proactively to anticipate any regulatory change impacting the business through horizon scanning

  • Engage with external partners (regulatory bodies, trade associations) to represent the company and defend its interest in NAM (e.g. AFIA, NASC) and at global level jointly with other regulatory colleagues and government affairs

  • Interact and guide specialists across the organization, including colleagues working with commercial registrations, and from other business units in other regions.

  • Ensuring market authorization for ingredients and finished products

  • Proactively define the regulatory strategy to accelerate the market launch and sales growth of new specialty additives, ingredients, amino acids and pet food in collaboration with colleagues and external consultants

  • Advise and support quality, marketing, and product management departments in ensuring regulatory compliance of products and marketing materials

  • Manage and advice on product labelling and MSDS following ADM standards

  • Engage with customers and regulatory authorities by replying to regulatory enquiries

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree Animal Nutrition, Toxicology, Food/Feed Law or in any other related field

  • 5+ yrs in a management role within regulatory affairs

  • Cross-cultural approach

  • High organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence people

  • Proficiency in English is a pre-requisite, additional languages are an asset.
