Job Summary

The Storeroom Associate in training is an hourly position and is responsible for loading/unloading, sorting, and processing products/parts as they are received and distributed to meet the needs of Production and Maintenance at 193. The schedule for this role is Monday – Friday, 7:00a to 3:30p. Work hours are subject to change to meet business needs, with expected OT demand to include shutdowns and other times when the maintenance teams is working extended hours.

Facility Expectation

  • Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.

  • Ensure product quality expectations are met.

  • Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required.

  • Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.

  • Work with other colleagues to effectively communicate production issues.

  • Participate in morning toolbox, shift exchange/review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.

  • Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues.

  • Required to work overtime as specified by management.

  • Attend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned.

  • Apply PE principles and standards to your work area and work processes

Work Duties

  • Receive, move, store and inventory materials and parts.

  • Address any discrepancies as determined based on items received versus the packaging slip.

  • Maintain Storeroom in a safe & orderly fashion and ensure incoming parts are distributed to the proper place.

  • Be able to immediately identify problems, i.e., material shortages, quality issues, facility issues, etc., and communicate any issues to the Purchasing Assistant.

  • Maintain Maximo accuracy by inputting/adjusting inventory along with handling and issuing parts to keep a record.

  • Sustain the logbook of tools that are being issued and checked in/out by employees.

  • Responsible for accurately gathering parts for kitted work and assisting maintenance personnel with locating parts as needed.

  • Exhibit flexibility, reliability and mutual respect for fellow colleagues.

  • Work in the most effective, efficient and safe manner at all times.

  • Train & perform other duties as needs business arise.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing).

  • Previous warehouse and/or industrial plant experience preferred.

  • Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., walk long distances, stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.

  • Requires working in extreme temperature conditions. No areas being climate controlled.

  • Ability to use computers including Microsoft Office skills. Basic math and writing skills Previous Maximo or CMMS experience beneficial.

  • Strong attendance record.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Customer focused when interacting with all site colleagues & vendors daily.

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours. Overtime required including extended hours and Saturday work during plant shutdown periods.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and record keeping.

  • Flexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvement.

  • Cross training as needed.

  • Promote the ADM Way and Core Values.

  • Understanding of the importance of Safety.
