BAE Systems Inc., is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Intern to join our HR team! This position will be located at Radford Army Ammunition Facility, in Radford, VA. This position will report to the HR Business Partner onsite. BAE Systems is the primary contractor operating the facility that manufactures high quality explosives and propellants.

As a Human Resources Intern / Co-op, you will:

  • Assist with new hire orientation, employment verification, and event coordination

  • Develop reports, data analysis, and maintenance from HRIS System (PeopleSoft, Tableau, HCM)

  • Provide information to employees regarding company policies and procedures

  • Maintain employee s electronic files in compliance with applicable legal requirements

  • Collaborate with HRBPs in employee relations initiatives and investigations

  • Demonstrate integrity in business interactions and honor personal commitments

  • Deliver verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively

  • Utilize research methods effectively for data collection and analysis

  • Support the development of HR projects that help drive a culture of diversity and inclusion

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and change management throughout the organization

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Solid computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

  • Capability to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines

  • Sound professional judgment, business acumen, and attention to detail

  • Ability to plan and organize

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Passion for understanding the HR field

  • Microsoft Suite experience

  • Rising sophomore or junior

  • Data analytics experience
