The Research and Development Team is looking to add a highly skilled Program Manager to assist the group in daily activities ranging from cost analysis, proposal development, project estimating, project tracking, schedule monitoring and other duties as assigned. The candidate will be highly motivated, organized and methodical in thinking and actions. A large portion of the job will be focused on business capture and proposal preparation and tracking. Experience with government proposals is a plus.

The Program Manager will be responsible for projects within the Radford Research and Development Team with regard to the following project management practice areas that he/she is assigned to manage:

  • Proposal writing and business capture

Project Integration

  • Scopes of Work

  • Project Costs

  • Customer Communications and Relations

  • Provides regular reports to the Radford R&D Manager on projects

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 6 years work experience.

  • Proficient in technical writing and/or proposal preparation.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working on projects related to design and engineering, research and development or product development

  • Experience with energetics, munitions, defense articles a plus

  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent

  • Experience in managing projects for the US Department of Defense preferred

  • Preferred experienced with Power BI, metrics building and analytics

  • Prefer experience with SQL databases, programming, advanced data manipulation

  • Experience with building cost estimates and work break down structures

  • Computer programming

  • Experience with government proposals or contracts

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
