Job Description

The SAP Platform Team, a crucial part of our Company's IT department, is responsible for providing innovative and differentiated services. Our team's mission is to plan, implement, deliver, and advance the ERP/SAP platform, which is the backbone of our global business processes. The platform is integral to our Manufacturing Division, Finance, Global Human Health, Procurement, and Research & Development Division Business, running the business processes of Order to Cash (OtC), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Source to Settle (StS), and Financial Business Management (FBM). Each year, the SAP Platform plays a critical role in delivering multiple projects to enhance and improve these business processes. These projects and efforts span a wide scope, including continued enhancements and deployments of the standard SAP platform, continuous improvement and re-engineering of global processes, and technical upgrades to maintain the platform's health and currency.

The Global Data Team, an integral part of the SAP Platform Team, plays a crucial role in supporting global business and IT product teams. Our team's mission is to help these teams realize the value of multiple project deployments enabled by data. In addition to project deployments, the Global Data Team supports the business with data migration and/or mass data change requirements for a variety of reasons, from regular business data changes to compliance updates. We also develop and support custom data applications on the DSP platform, tailored to business requirements, to maintain high data standards across SAP systems with operational efficiency and self-service capabilities.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures

  • Interact senior leaders to assess and understand business and IT support requirements and provide support status.

  • Provides support to Business, Functional Specialists and other technical team members in all aspects of enabling technologies to meet business needs. Provides expertise on data migration execution or improvement in DSP Data Platform to support migration projects.

  • Participate data migration strategy within Enterprise IT Global Data Team to design, develop and implement specifics solutions to business data requirements, which may be driven by changes to business models, mergers and acquisitions and availability of innovative technologies.

  • Ensure developed documentation is appropriate and includes the end-to-end migration process and technical landscape as related to data migration projects.

  • Works closely with Business leaders, ERP functional leads and Quality Assurance COE on data migration strategy and execution processes.

  • Collaborates with the Process Stewards, Delivery Leads, Project Managers and Data Leads in solution design, plan and execution.

  • Responsible for DSP application/database design and development activities supporting existing SAP domain data management applications.

  • Reviews technical feasibility of proposed views, forms, data requirements, validations, reports and other application/database capabilities needed related to data management of SAP systems.

  • Responsible for change requests and incidence correction into application database and DSP data application functionalities governed by proper change management process.

  • Ongoing support in a dynamic and matrix organization and works effectively among Enterprise IT Global Data Team to communicate issues and ideas to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Participate in activities in improvement on processes, enhancements, automations, initiatives, integrations, testing of new environments, and ongoing training and monitoring.

Minimum Education Required:

  • High School Diploma required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry and validated software environments.

  • 4+ years of relevant SAP user experience and navigation in SAP Applications with menus, screens, and tcodes, with 2+ years of SAP functional experience with screen/data tracing, such as finding technical information of data mapping to table/field/data model.

  • Technical experience in architecting, developing, and testing in SQL and Data Steward Platform

  • Demonstrated strong technical proficiency and development skills in SQL or PL/SQL and Data Steward Platform and SAP BDC/LSMW.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Development experience in Java, C++, .Net, VBScript, and GUI Script is preferred.

  • Desire and ability to learn new processes and technologies.

  • Ability to communicate technical ideas and functionalities to non-technical business leaders and users.

  • Ability to plan and execute according to timelines and understand business needs and constraints.

  • Highly self-motivated, driven work ethic, keen attention to detail, and exceptional customer service orientation.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected salary range:

$83,100.00 - $130,900.00
