J&J Family of Companies Community Liaison in Raleigh, North Carolina

Janssen Infectious Disease] is recruiting for a(n) Community Liaison, located in DC, MD, or Northern VA.

Represent Janssen Infectious Diseases portfolio of products, provide scientific educational content, and offer resources, while building and maintaining key relationships to ensure patients can access care and remain on life-saving therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a relationship and educate allied health care professionals (AHCPs) to optimize their ability to access care for patients as well as retention in care. Maintain a high level of clinical knowledge regarding HIV and AIDS.

  • Deliver patient-focused materials to ASOs/CBOs/clinical settings. Coordinate and facilitate educational programs with patients when appropriate and within healthcare compliance guidelines.

  • Keep Community Liaison leadership abreast of relevant issues, which impact product reimbursement, access, and publicly funded projects i.e. Ryan White grants, ADAP, and other Titled initiatives. Inform Janssen Infectious Diseases leadership of emerging standards of care for patient education initiatives.

  • Attend and participate in district meeting and District Council to provide an understanding of the changing demographics of HIV/AIDS, government regulations, new technology, research and development, and changing market conditions.

  • Serve as a consultant to direct-to-consumer marketing to develop appropriate educational materials for patient groups.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry expertise and familiarity with key influencers in the healthcare environment in this geography are preferred.

  • Experience in the HIV market working with ASOs/CBOs and clinical settings preferred.

  • Strong ability to build long-term internal and external customer dedication and relationships required.

  • Proven ability to think strategically and customize solution-orientated customer plans required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required.

  • Capability to think critically and apply strategic business planning with precision.

  • The ability to clearly and appropriately convey and present information and ideas in an effective and impactful manner through a variety of approaches required.

  • This role is field-based and will require up to 60% domestic travel.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree is required; Advanced degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of Marketing, Sales, Clinical or Community experience required.

Preferred:

  • 5 years of experience working in a healthcare and/or social service-focused setting such as state or county health department, AIDS service organization, clinic, hospital, LGBT center, community-based organization, pharmacy, educational institution, federal government agency is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Ryan White programs, health insurance plans, antiretroviral therapy, and the HIV treatment cascade is preferred.

  • Comfortability working with and serving marginalized communities/high-risk populations is preferred.

  • Experience working remotely as a self-starter with proficiency using Microsoft applications is preferred.

Other:

This role is field-based and will require up to 60% domestic travel.
