Sales Effectiveness Analyst

Global Merchant Services, the merchant network of American Express, acquires and maintains relationships with millions of merchants around the world who welcome American Express-branded Cards. U.S. Merchant Acquisition and Supplier Enablement (MASE) is an organization comprised of 140 professionals dedicated to signing and enabling U.S. merchants for AXP Card acceptance. Merchant Acquisition contributes over $5B in annual new charge volume to the U.S. merchant business; we are focused on driving growth in B2B spend by enabling our Global Commercial Services clients to spend on to the AXP network.

Sales Effectiveness Analyst will be a part of the Southern Region Merchant Acquisition Team within U.S. Merchant Services. This position will be tasked with providing full administrative support to the Vice President – Southern Region as well as supporting the sales process for the regional leadership team and field sales representatives. The ideal candidate would possess strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as the ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals through colleague engagement related activities is essential.

The Sales Effectiveness Analyst will be supporting the Southern Region with navigating Merchant Acquisition processes including Rules of Engagement, MerchantForce, Pricing, GCO, Risk, and Compliance among other internal stake holders and LOB. Create and identify relevant insights and reporting to accelerate decision making and monitor internal policies across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Create dashboards

  • Saleforce/sales reporting

  • Pipeline management

  • Budget management

  • Creation of powerpoint decks and meeting preparations

  • Scheduling / calendar management

  • Other analytical and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years or relevant experience is strongly preferred

  • Proven experience in multi-project management and ability to set priorities and manage tasks to drive results

  • Proven analytical understanding; with ability to synthesize vast amounts of data

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and comfort challenging the status quo

  • Effective oral and written communications skills

  • Strong relationship/interpersonal skills

  • Strong proficiency with PC applications (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Power Point).

  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com an asset.

  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and data with complete confidentiality

  • Working knowledge of related American Express products and services is considered an asset.

  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated to work on own in a home office environment.
