Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc., of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is currently recruiting for a Manager, 340B Payer Strategy & Operations, located in Raritan, NJ, Raynham, MA or Titusville, NJ.

Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. (JJHCS) provides contracting, supply chain, business services, and strategic solutions to customers and commercial intermediaries of U.S.-based Johnson & Johnson companies, including hospital systems, health plans, distributors, wholesalers, purchasing organizations, government payer programs, and government healthcare institutions in the U.S. JJHCS also engages with customers to provide streamlined supply chain services for our products that seamlessly integrate with customer operations, address shared evolving market challenges to value-based care, and develop innovative solutions that improve patient care and access.

Role Description:

The Manager, 340B Payer Strategy & Operations will be focused on J&J IM 340B duplicate discount strategies across multiple Payer channels. The person in this role will develop analytics, drive new & enhanced solutions, support dispute resolution, and supervise compliance related to these 340B strategies and policies. This position requires internal collaboration with JJHCS ECM, SCG Strategic Contracting, SCG Account Management, IT and external relationships with vendors and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to improve 340B duplicate discount automated solutions that support Gross-to-Net preservation across various channels (PBM, MCO, MBM, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, etc)

  • Work with IT and key data partners to drive efficient and shared access to Payer-related data sets and to build 340B/Payer analytics that can be leveraged for multiple audiences

  • Develop tools that quickly identify anomalies in 340B duplicate discount results and collaborate with partners & vendors to address any gaps

  • Provide subject matter expertise on 340B-related contract language within our Payer agreements, including but not limited to data requirements, exclusions, dispute clauses and other key terms & conditions

  • Support the development of and maintain key process documents related to 340B Payer solutions (e.g., process flows and standard operating procedures)

  • Work with broader 340B team to optimize existing 340B strategies & develop compliant(& pragmatic) future strategies based on market scenarios for Payers

  • Provide 340B analytics that support Business Planning efforts of Brand & Finance partners

  • Provide support for 340B dispute resolution efforts with Payers and drive efficient responses to Payer 340B inquiries

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; Advanced degree (MBA or other type of master’s degree) is desired

  • 5 years of overall business experience with a minimum of 3 years in the healthcare industry (Pharma or MedTech) required

  • 3 years of contracting, business development, business analytics, or finance experience is desired

  • Experience in working with healthcare payers and/or with 340B Drug Discount Program is preferred

  • Experience in roles within Contracting, Finance, Systems, Pricing, Sales & Marketing and proven understanding of price concessions offered through pharmaceutical Customer contracts is helpful

  • Experience with industry contracting systems such as Model N/Revitas and with pharmaceutical rebate data is desired

  • Ability to harmonize, analyze, and visualize large sets of data required

  • Excellent communication skills (written and presentation) required

  • Ability to analyze detailed data trends and to understand / communicate the high-level impact of the trends is required

  • Proficient in use of advanced data tools & software (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, Tableau, QlikView) is desired

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,00.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
