The Enterprise Contract Management (ECM) is an organization under JJHCS where we serve as the Center of Excellence that delivers best in class solutions for Commercial Healthcare, Government & Regulatory, Systems, Processes and Training, and Risk Mitigation & Governance.

The Commercial Contract Quality & Process team is accountable for risk mitigation and governance activities associated J&J’s commercial contracting. Our mission is to drive quality through proactive risk management, compliant operations and overall contract governance to facilitate fulfillment of J&J’s commercial obligations.

The Manager, Commercial Contract Quality will be responsible for routine governance and management of the overall risk profile for ECM's commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Gatekeeper for the JJHCS Contract Pricing Committee (CPC) process to ensure that all contracting strategies, exceptions and other business items brought to the CPC are fully vetted and appropriately addressed and documented

  • Leading ECM’s governance responsibilities such as Signature Authority, system Approval Hierarchy, Operating Company Approval Matrix, and intercompany Service Agreements

  • Maintaining metrics associated with ECM operations and providing recurring updates to the ECM Leadership Team and business partners

  • Collaborating with internal partners to understand business contracting strategies, processes, and systems to ensure alignment with appropriate Guidance documents, SOP’s and work instructions

  • Assessing and making recommendations to strengthen and streamline ECM’s internal controls

  • Participation in project actions associated with Acquisitions and Divestitures

  • Providing guidance and support to internal partners by helping to identify root cause drivers and plan of action needed to get to the right outcomes

  • Staying abreast of process trends and leading practices occurring in J&J and the marketplace to advise strategic direction

  • Preparing adhoc performance analysis of commercial contracting operations

  • Leading, supporting, and participating in other ECM departmental initiatives (Credo Action Team, DEI Community Service Team, etc.)

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience

  • Previous experience in Commercial Contracting, Strategic Customer Groups, Commercial Excellence, Finance, Audit, Supply Chain or related area

  • Knowledge of the end-to-end contract continuum from pricing/contract strategies through contract administration

  • Project management experience

Preferred:

  • Experience and working knowledge of internal controls related to Contract Development, Contract Management and Government Contracts

  • Contract authoring experience in either Sell-side or Buy-side contracts

  • Prior experience with Revenue Management Systems (e.g., Model N) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)

Other:

  • Six Sigma/Lean Belt or other process engineering certification is preferred.

  • Project Management Professional or equivalent certification is preferred.

  • This role may require up to 10% of domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200.
