Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D IT is seeking a Product Lead Engineer/Owner. At the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, we take patient health and well-being to our core values. The Product Lead Engineer/Owner is responsible for supervising product engineering and making software engineering decisions. They fulfill dual responsibilities as both an entrepreneur and implementer of technical solutions. They tackle complex business problems and intricate engineering challenges and shape the technical design. Their responsibilities include ensuring the product's technical architecture, software development aligns with the technology roadmap and adheres to software engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI and generative AI solutions to address complex business problems in Safety, Regulatory, and Clinical functions.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate cloud computing and automation technologies into our products and services.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, cloud computing, and automation, and apply this knowledge to enhance our product offerings.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
Work hands-on with business partners, data scientists, software engineers, and other partners to define technical requirements and specifications.
Optimize product performance and scalability using cloud infrastructure and automation tools.
Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
5+ years of proven experience in engineering with a focus on AI, generative AI, cloud computing, software engineering and automation.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and AI frameworks.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud as well as experience with snowflake.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Familiarity with automation tools and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Analytical, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet project goals.
Experience with OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangChat, and vector databases.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and experience using JIRA for project management.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Industry -- Clinical, Safety, Regulatory.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
