J&J MedTech Surgery, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for Sales Training Representatives to be located in Raritan, New Jersey. This STR Program starts June 2025.

The Sales Training Representative (STR) Program is a 14-month program designed to provide the necessary development for a career in the competitive and rewarding MedTech industry. During your time in headquarters, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best sales representatives in the field as well as build connections across multiple sectors in the J&J MedTech office. When successfully completed, the STR Program leads to an Associate Account Executive (AAE) role and subsequent leadership responsibility within Johnson & Johnson. The STR Program is focused on building the skills necessary to drive business growth through learning and executing training programs (live and virtual) through blended learning.

Additionally, as a member of the Commercial Education team, the STR will provide support and expertise through field training, account conversions, engagement with key customers at professional education events, as well as support other ongoing customer engagement activities.

The STR will learn to provide education and training regarding J&J MedTech Surgery's key platforms including wound closure, endo-mechanical, energy, and biosurgery. The STR will quickly become an extension of the collaborative Field Sales Organization. Pivotal to success will be the ability to develop the clinical and business acumen necessary to meet the needs of our customers and Field Sales Organization training needs, while exceeding business objectives.

The base salary for this position is $65,000 plus annual performance-based bonus.

After the initial 14-month development program period, and with demonstrated proficiency to work within the STR role, the STR must relocate (with company relocation assistance) to the hiring area for the transition to the Associate Account Executive role. As an AAE, you will be required to be aligned for up to 12 additional months and begin to support customers by working with and under the guidance of the local sales team. Following successful completion of the AAE role, promotion to Account Executive may include an additional relocation within the area.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree attained from an accredited University/College by June 2025 is required.

  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 based upon 4.0 scale is required.

  • Ability to start work on a full-time basis by June 2025 is required.

  • Sales, Life Science, Engineering, or Business academic major is preferred.

  • Completion of school-sponsored selling skills program is preferred.

  • Experience in customer service or sales is preferred.

  • Strong track record of academic and other successes is preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities are preferred.

  • By the start of the STR Program, relocation to the designated home office in Raritan, New Jersey is required.

  • STR will be hired for a specific company sales area and relocation to that pre-identified sales area after completion of the STR Program is required.

  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States for multiple weeks at a time is required.

  • A valid driver's license issued in the United States is required.

  • Willingness and ability to relocate geographically within the United States is required.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$65,000.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
