Are you an ambitious and proven Research & Development professional looking for a unique opportunity to make a significant impact? Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist, Innovation R&D, to join our extraordinary team in Raritan, NJ, United States.

Responsibilities:

• A Technical Leadership role passionate about advancing our innovation agenda, collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine and implement new solutions.

• Lead identification and early development to advance technology addressing surgical healing complications such as surgical site infections.

• Explore key areas of new agents, coatings, and biomaterials aimed at our strategic focus of healing patients

• Design and conduct experiments, ensuring seamless implementation and precise data collection.

• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive actionable insights and recommendations.

• Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals and present at industry conferences.

• Mentor and guide junior scientists to foster a collaborative and inclusive innovation environment.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field and provide thought leadership to drive innovation.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in a related scientific field is preferred

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in conducting research and development in a highly regulated industry

• Proven track record of successfully leading and collaborating on innovation projects.

• Extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of surgical site infection is preferred.

• Strong understanding antibacterial technologies is preferred

• Understanding of wound therapeutic and related technologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to work effectively in a diverse team setting and establish strong connections with individuals both inside and outside the organization.

• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000 to $232,000.
