Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Strategy & PMO Manager position supporting the Procurement Business Services category family in New Brunswick or Raritan, NJ.

How we in Procurement shape, roll-out, monitor and continuously align strategy with business stakeholders is a critical enabler to deliver our value proposition to the businesses we serve. Procurement recognizes the Strategy, Portfolio & Performance Management as key enabler of functional alignment and excellence, shaping and roll-out of regional and functional strategy, business planning, performance management, stakeholder engagement and change management.

This role will support the Procurement Business Services organization and global leadership team reporting into the Global Strategy & PMO Leader.

The role will responsible for consistent deployment of enterprise standards, frameworks, processes, best practices, tools, competence building and coaching within the Business Services category family globally. The role carries cross-tier (BU & GS) and cross-functional interface responsibilities (Finance, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Portfolio Management:

  • Lead the Business Services Annual Business Planning process and Strategic Portfolio development

  • Lead the periodic Business Plan Update process for the Business Services GLT.

  • Implement the Business Services Strategic Portfolio focused on Excellence in Execution. Select & deploy processes & tools to support Portfolio Execution.

  • Manage enterprise-level programs and drive alignment, planning and tracking across all stakeholders involved.

  • In collaboration with PMO Council, develop and deploy a Strategic Portfolio Performance Mgt. framework and process; focus on standardization and stratification of dashboards, scorecards and KPIs.

  • Drive the adoption of the enterprise Portfolio Governance technology solution

  • Performance Management

  • Implement and lead the Enterprise Performance Mgt. process within the Business Services. Leverage Finance and Global Services to deliver and manage a robust, adaptable and highly business-integrated performance mgt. framework.

  • Collaborate within the PMO Council as well as with Finance and Category Leaders on leveraging & optimizing the Enterprise Performance Management framework, dashboards & scorecards

  • Collaborate within the PMO Council and with GS to assess, select, optimize & deploy enterprise-level processes & tools to support Performance Management.

  • Drive & support all enterprise data requests to improve on-going data quality in partnership with Global Services

  • Manage a network of champions from across Business Services categories to drive efficiency, effectiveness & accuracy in the performance & portfolio mgt. process

  • Drive improvements in the Spend Governance process to enhance spend data quality

  • Strategic Planning & Governance:

  • Support key internal, cross-functional and external forums (e.g. Town halls, Leadership Forums, Stage Gate Reviews, Conferences, etc.)

  • Provide Project Management support to key strategic initiatives and support the Director, Global Strategy & PMO in management of the Discretionary Spend Sponsor’s Council

  • Provide facilitation support, agenda development, and follow-up twice-monthly Business Services Global Leadership Team Connections

  • Leadership:

  • Engage actively in the Enterprise Procurement planning and leadership forums.

  • Active participant in the PMO Council.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.

  • A minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience is required, preferably inside and outside Procurement.

  • A strong track record of performance (dashboards, business insights, results, etc.) and/or portfolio management is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills are required.

  • A demonstrated track record of success in Business Planning and Execution in preferred.

  • Strong business and finance acumen, deep understanding of managing for impact in a global highly complex, multi-function environment is required.

  • Ability to partner, engage, facilitate and influence at all levels including senior leadership is required.

  • This role will require less than 10% travel time.
