Key Responsibilities:

  • Support new product development (NPD) and design through verification and validation activities.

  • Support maintenance of existing products including but not limited to design changes, process changes, supplier changes, remediation, recertification and brand extensions.

  • Support design control activities for NPD efforts.

  • Develop risk assessment, defining inspection methodology and acceptance criteria.

  • Conduct audits of new suppliers as part of the project teams.

  • Provide leadership in the understanding of medical device regulations to other functions.

  • Communicate at all levels within Quality and across functions or departments such as R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Marketing.



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related Scientific focus is required; advanced degree in a related field preferred

    Experience and Skills: Required:

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Interpersonal skills and flexibility to enable conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations


  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work, internship, or Co-Op experience

  • Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry

  • Quality engineering experience

  • Experience conducting Process/Design Failure Mode Effects and Analysis

  • Mechanical product knowledge

  • Experience with Blueprint reading/literacy including GD&T

  • Familiarity with inspection methods and techniques

  • Knowledge of the QSR, Design Controls, and ISO quality requirements

  • Process Excellence/Lean experience, training or certification


  • Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
