Support new product development (NPD) and design through verification and validation activities.
Support maintenance of existing products including but not limited to design changes, process changes, supplier changes, remediation, recertification and brand extensions.
Support design control activities for NPD efforts.
Develop risk assessment, defining inspection methodology and acceptance criteria.
Conduct audits of new suppliers as part of the project teams.
Provide leadership in the understanding of medical device regulations to other functions.
Communicate at all levels within Quality and across functions or departments such as R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Marketing.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related Scientific focus is required; advanced degree in a related field preferred
Experience and Skills: Required:
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
Interpersonal skills and flexibility to enable conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations
Minimum 1 year of relevant work, internship, or Co-Op experience
Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry
Quality engineering experience
Experience conducting Process/Design Failure Mode Effects and Analysis
Mechanical product knowledge
Experience with Blueprint reading/literacy including GD&T
Familiarity with inspection methods and techniques
Knowledge of the QSR, Design Controls, and ISO quality requirements
Process Excellence/Lean experience, training or certification
Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
