Description

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, uses knowledge and skills obtained through education, training and/or experience to assist in the development and administration of company qualified (401k, Profit Sharing and ESOP) and non-qualified plans or programs. Established procedures and prescribed guidelines are provided to perform a variety of tasks requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity in making routine decisions. Regular contact with internal customers and third party administrators is required to identify, research, and resolve problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers company's equity compensation programs in effect for stock options, restricted stock and deferred compensation. Respond to managers' and associate's questions on their equity awards or about any equity program in effect.

  • Administers company's qualified benefit programs in effect for 401(k), employee stock ownership plan, profit sharing plan and employee stock purchase plan. Respond to managers' and associate's questions as required.

  • Assist with internal and external audits.

  • Serves as primary contact for internal customers and/or third party administrators.

  • Work cross-functionally with other business groups and external vendors as it relates to equity and qualified benefit programs.

  • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley processes are followed and compile supporting documentation for testing and compliance.

  • Investigates discrepancies and provides information in non-routine situations.

  • Transfer of data to external contacts for services and program administration.

  • Assist with internal and external audits.

  • Maintains records and prepares documents for implementation and maintenance of coverage.

  • Processes status reports and updates and maintains files.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Company’s working structure, policies, mission and strategies.

  • Principles, practices and procedures of basic qualified plan administration.

  • 401K, Profit Sharing, and ESOP

  • Stock options, restricted stock and deferred compensation plans

Skill in:

  • Designing retirement plans related materials for internal customers.

  • Investigating discrepancies.

  • Gathering and processing data.

  • Maintaining records, preparing reports and documents

  • Assisting with plan audits.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets and databases.

Ability to:

  • Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality

  • Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from benefits related materials.

  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Keep all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes and other relevant information.

  • Articulate reasons behind decisions.

  • Provide a high level of customer service.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience in retirement and equity plan administration.

or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • CEBS or CBP a plus.
