Job Summary

Under limited direction and with a moderate level of autonomy, performs and directs the activities while monitoring progress of the department. Uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to oversee the preparation of management reports within Treasury and the Finance department. Establishes and monitors area workflow to adjust procedures and/or training needs as necessary. Provides departmental associates both guidance for corporate/ department policies and coaching for area performance and team building activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains and monitors treasury operational policies and procedures to ensure a robust internal control environment.

  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day conduct and performance of cash management activities.

  • Lead treasury projects to understand and improve processes related to intercompany flows and transactions, distilling complex concepts into clear components, and develop views and recommendations

  • Directs and monitors area workflow, delegates tasks, revises schedules in response to volume fluctuations.

  • Coordinates cross-collaboration activities with key internal partners including accounting, procurement / accounts payable, and information technology.

  • Assists staff with resolution of complex business issues.

  • Performs human resources management activities, including identifying performance problems and seeking guidance for remedial action, reviewing performance and interviewing and selecting staff.

  • Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, evaluates and leads the work of others.

  • Coaches and mentors subordinates, identifies training needs and recommends appropriate development programs.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Microsoft Office products sufficient to create/update spreadsheets and documents as well as communicate via e-mail.

  • General office practices, procedures and methods.

  • General supervisory principles.

Skill in

  • Interpersonal communication sufficient to interact with associates at all levels.

  • Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Mathematics sufficient to perform basic math functions.

Ability to

  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Respond quickly and adjust to changing priorities.

  • Provide a high level of service to clients, including management.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field from a four year college or university and five to seven (5-7) years’ experience in specific area of expertise of assigned work area.

  • Supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience beneficial.

  • OR

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications

  • SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied

  • Series 99, or ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA)
