What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing supply chain strategies and networks through a range of activities.

The Sanford Site Supply Chain Lead is part of the Sanford Operations Supply Chain Management Department and has direct responsibility for Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning & Scheduling, Warehousing and Distribution/ Shipping, SAP business processes and SAP master data management.

Some of the activities that you will manage include:.

  • Accountable for activities involved with all clinical and commercial supply chain management activities at the site including, but not limited to, Production Planning & Scheduling, Materials Planning & Scheduling, Customer Service, Warehousing and Distribution, SAP accuracy and SAP master data management.

  • Accountable for the Site Master Production Plan in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain department and other site functions. Leads the Supply Planning team to ensure robust Detailed Production schedules are in place, achieving inventory targets as well as site and Intersite service levels.

  • Accountable for ensuring all supply chain activities are following site and corporate requirements for supply chain management, as well as applicable Global/ Regional safety, regulatory and customs procedures.

  • Coordinates the activities of the entire supply chain team ensuring potential supply issues are identified, communicated and resolved in a proactive and timely manner.

  • Accountable for the accuracy of SAP master data.

  • Responsible for talent planning that includes coaching, mentoring, colleague development, performance management and developing a succession plan for key roles.

  • Lead process improvement projects that improve site supply chain performance, compliance and efficiency.

  • Set objectives and manage multiple projects

  • Align across functional resources needed to ensure allocated projects meet established deadlines.

  • Ensure all projects are managed in accordance with departmental procedures and Pfizer values

  • Engage key market and regional stakeholders to improve agreed market supply chain capabilities and develop appropriate improvement plans.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study

  • 10+ years' experience in a GMP regulated environment, including leading supply chain activities

  • Mastery of supply chain, planning, inventory, and warehouse concepts, including use of SAP

  • Demonstrated experience managing large scale programs and initiatives

  • Cross-functional Supply Chain or manufacturing experience at various levels

  • Ability to frame rigorous fact-based analysis to drive decisions

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strong people management experience

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree in relevant field or MBA

  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech GMP environment is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of both vaccine and aseptic manufacturing processes is preferred

  • Understanding and demonstrated use of Operational Excellence techniques leading to best in class performance

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical:

  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs, stand for 2 to 3 hours at a time, sit for 2 to 3 hours at a time, walk short distances and bend to obtain items from lower shelving/cabinets.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Work schedule may include weekdays and/or weekend days with first, second, and/or third shift hours as appropriate for assigned tasks/activities.

  • Limited travel for the position; no more than 10% traveling.
