Job Description:

This job is responsible for performing more complex analysis aimed at improving portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance for consumer products and related divisions, such as credit cards. Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of multiple business and technical-related topics and independently driving strategic improvements, large-scale projects, and initiatives. Job expectations include working with business counterparts within the Line of Business and partner organizations including Risk and Product teams.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and proposing solutions for a variety of business problems and improvements using data driven insights

Data Infrastructure & Transformational work

• Develop Proactive Data Integrity Monitoring and Escalations

• Support Data Centralization and Warehousing efforts

• Develop Data Availability and SLA thresholds monitoring

• OPEX – Tool Evaluations, Reduce Tech Dependencies, and Increase Self-Support Model to Improve speed to market and change management

Production Support

•Monitoring, Analyzing, Troubleshooting Problems, Providing Code Fixes and Testing

•Break Fix Resolution - Perform in-depth Production Incident Troubleshooting, Resolve Production Incidents and Monitor the Fixes to Ensure Correct Resolution

•Communicate reporting Impacts to end users

•Partner with Enterprise, Data Management, and Technology to resolve data issues expeditiously

•Support Data Centralization and Warehousing efforts

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance

  • Coaches and mentors peers to improve proficiency in a variety of systems and serves as a subject matter expert on multiple business and technical-related topics

  • Identifies business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicates findings to senior management

  • Supports execution of large scale projects, such as platform conversions or new project integrations by conducting advanced reporting and drawing analytics based insights

  • identify, analyze, and propose solutions for a variety of business problems

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience leading end-to-end BI solutions including requirements gathering, sourcing, transformation, and reporting.

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, demonstrating advanced proficiency using SAS/SQL query language to access Teradata / SQL Server databases

• Experience in database design and ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) processes

• Ability to manage varied set of priorities, both planned and ad-hoc, and adapt within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, documentation, and presentation skills.
