The ERP Accounting Senior Analyst will play an integral role in supporting our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform within Oracle ERP. This role is primarily responsible for delivering the Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS) application across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include ownership of the Oracle EDMCS application, Oracle General Ledger (GL) Cross Validation Rules (CVRs), and all financial Master Data Management (MDM) activities.

The Senior Analyst will provide leadership during the month-end close process, with particular focus on quarter and year-end closures, ensuring all EPM applications and interfaces operate on schedule. Additionally, the role involves evaluating current processes, identifying improvements, and implementing these enhancements in production.

This position is part of the Corporate Accounting team, which manages the company’s close and consolidation processes, and is not a technology-focused role.

What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

  • Chart of Accounts Maintenance: Maintain chart of accounts, hierarchies, and up/downstream systems with minimal guidance, ensuring desired business outcomes (e.g., Oracle EDMCS, GL, FCCS).

  • Rule Management: Manage Oracle allocation definitions and cross-validation rules, including the creation and testing of new rules.

  • Close Process Support: Support the monthly subledger and general ledger close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

  • Data Governance: Own hierarchy management, enable data governance, provide a centralized repository of master data and associated attributes, and create chart of accounts (COA) mappings for downstream applications.

  • Functional Administration: Administer Oracle EPBCS, FCCS, and ARCS, including resolving requests, incidents, and monthly close tasks.

  • Metadata Management: Administer EDMCS for monthly, emergency, and annual plan metadata changes across ERP and EPM systems, validate dimensions, and ensure ERP and EPM systems are in sync.

  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to align data, business logic, and reporting outcomes.

  • Expertise: Serve as the functional expert for Oracle ERP general ledger and EPM tools, including EDMCS, ARCS, FCCS, and EPBCS, for special projects and accounting initiatives.

  • Process Improvement: Lead the implementation of improved business processes based on system knowledge and business partner needs.

Purpose of the role

This position is the subject matter expert providing primary functional support and maintenance of the company’s Oracle ERP general ledger and EPM tools, including EDMCS, ARCS, FCCS, and EPBCS. The role is critical for driving data quality, integrity, and management, which are essential for accurate business operations and intelligence.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Four-year business degree with a concentration in Accounting.

  • Certification: CPA preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Required: Experience with Oracle ERP and EPM.

  • Preferred: Three or more years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, general ledger, financial systems, or other key accounting functions.

  • Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive understanding of month-end and fiscal year closing processes and accounting practices and standards.

  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, accounting systems, and automation.

  • Skills: Proven results in process improvement, project management, and change management.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement.
