Job Description:

Position Summary:

This position is for an experienced network automation engineer who works with customers to solve technical and operational challenges. They are network automation experts that are able to develop automated solutions for modern networks. They can develop automated solutions quickly and effectively to meet customer demands while improving reliability. They work closely with development, operations, and other teams to identify and resolve pain points and inefficiencies in delivery of solutions.

The engineer will help deliver large-scale network automation projects that have a global reach in an enterprise environment.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Automating delivery processes and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

  • Build automated solution to reduce manual effort and improve product quality.

  • Streamline the software development lifecycle to improve developer productivity, delivery speed, and code quality.

  • Track project progress and identify and correct any delays Compose technical documentation of solutions built for clients Quickly adopts new technologies and continuously demonstrates technical excellence Involved in entire life cycle of a project, from assessment, design, development, demonstration, deployment, and documentation of solution Quickly learn network automation architecture and enhance them into building automation solutions

Required Skills:

2+ years experience: Unix/Linux; Database, Python, JavaScript, Shell scripting, Infrastructure As Code

1+ years experience with runtime, container, and hosting environments, like RHEL, Docker, OpenShift

Experience in Monitoring & Alerting, and Job Scheduling

Systems Experience developing CI/CD workflows and tools

Strong automation scripting skills.

Strong grasp of automation and devops tools – Ansible, Jenkins, SVN, Bitbucket Knowledge of privilege elevation tools

Experience with ITSM Remedy or other ITSM tools

Excellent oral and written communication. – Must be able to communicate at all organizational level

Desired Skills:

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred

Knowledge of network operations and security operations management responsibilities, network Firewalls, Load balancers, and complex network designs

Streaming data solutions – Kafka
