DuPont’s Spruance, VA plant is looking to fill a position for Process Engineer Team Lead to join our Tyvek® line of business. Tyvek® is a 100% synthetic material made from high-density spun bound polyethylene fibers. Lightweight, durable, and breathable, yet resistant to water, abrasion, bacterial penetration and aging, Tyvek® is an amazing material used to improve a variety of applications across multiple industries. Tyvek® is available in both a hard structure, used for Home Wrap envelopes and medical packaging applications, and a soft structure, fabric-like finish used for protective apparel and consumer applications. This role is responsible for facilitating prioritization and successful execution of priorities in the Tyvek® Quality and Systems area including day-to-day troubleshooting and long term grow and improve projects. This role is the administrative leader, responsible for staffing, competency development and succession planning, and the role is also an individual contributor with strong technical acumen who leads their own projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive detailed execution of a subset of the Business Technology Implementation Plan (BTIP).

  • Assigns Manufacturing Technology (MT) resources for projects in BTIP. Ensures non-MT resources are included in the resources’ allocation.

  • Leads individual project like a TIS with the same deliverables as TIS.

  • Responsible for engineering staffing, competency development and succession planning.

  • Defines near term plan in support of the TIL and the BTIP.

  • Ensure technology for capital project front end loading is complete & adequate.

  • Ensures Management of Change protocols and expectations are met for BTIP. Process Safety Management (PSM)/Grow/Improve projects.

  • Ensures technology related Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) are complete. Ensures learnings are captured and communicated to the organization to prevent future occurrences.

  • Participate in Project Reviews.

Qualifications:

  • BS Engineering discipline required.

  • 5-15 years of manufacturing or related experience required.

  • Tyvek® Line of business experience preferred.

  • Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process/Low Hazard Operation) experience preferred.
