BAE Systems Functional Support Specialist Senior in Rockville, Maryland
Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Functional Support Specialist to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. BAE Systems is seeking is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Functional Administrative Support Specialist to assist in a variety of tasks for the Strategic Systems Program (SSP) contract with the US Navy. The selected candidate will be assisting with meetings, conferences, workshops, and events, as well as assisting with travel expenses and other administrative duties as assigned.
This position is responsible for duties and routine tasking to include but not limited to:
Coordinate support to business operations that require additional support (e.g., Training, Talent Acquisition, Safety, etc.)
Coordinate scheduling for meetings, conferences, workshops and events (to include event logistics)
Coordinate PMO and business operations Microsoft Teams meetings requiring administrative support, as required (to include preparation and presentation of materials)
Coordinate the creation and delivery of meeting minutes and action items
Review processes and policies pertaining to administrative support and advocate for disposition
Lead onboard activities for new hires in all program areas and maintain the accuracy of tools and checklists that support onboarding
Assist with internal office and cubicle moves, as well as maintaining the office seating charts
Submit visit requests in support of customer meetings, training events, and conferences
Update internal work instructions and supporting other administrative functions as needed
Other duties include support of other groups within the SSP Program.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: High School diploma and at least eight years of related/relevant work experience, to include a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and basic proficiency with MS Sharepoint, MS Visio, and online meeting tools (WebEx, Microsoft Teams).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience maintaining, developing, and updating plans, procedures, processes and/or other guidance documents
Experience with hosting virtual and in-person meetings, including scheduling and logistics support
Proficiency with MS SharePoint, MS Visio, and Atlassian Jira applications
Understanding of government compliance requirements/regulations
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
