BAE Systems is seeking a Program Integration Coordinator to support our work as a prime contractor on the Nuclear Armed, Sea Launch Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program, a new high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system in development phase. The candidate needs to be a detail-oriented self-starter who can quickly come up to speed on new technologies and work collaboratively with staff, peers, leadership, and customers to successfully deliver major programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and program management, a deep understanding of program management methodologies, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the Program Integration Office.

In response to global threats, SSP is continuing to defend our nation by adding a second nuclear defense system option to their mission responsibilities with the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) Program. SSP is building this modular, survivable cruise missile system that will be outfitted on some submarines and surface ships. SSP is responsible for designing, developing, building, and deploying the SLCM-N and BAE Systems is supporting our customer in the pre-development activities for the SLCM-N Program.

The Program Integration Coordinator will manage and oversee the SLCM-N Program for the Strategic Systems Program of the Navy supporting the SLCM-N Program Area Manager (PAM) and reporting directly to the Program Integration PAM, working closely with the various lines of service and customer stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the program. The Program Integration Coordinator is responsible for planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action developing products to include artifacts such as integrated program schedules, status reports, risk/issue trackers, and process guides.

Additional responsibilities of this position includes, but are not limited to:

  • Define and manage the Master Project Plan using a hybrid agile/waterfall methodology, establish a governance framework, and maintain a weekly work management cadence to ensure timely completion of deliverables and achievement of milestones.

  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to manage all phases of the implementation lifecyclerequirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deploymentensuring alignment and satisfaction.

  • Ensure high-quality, value-added communications, status reporting, issue resolution, and stakeholder management across customer leadership, managers, and program staff.

  • Participate and provide input to the continuous development of industry-specific accelerators (templates, best practices, automation tools) for faster delivery.

  • Identify and expand opportunities to remain at the cutting-edge of Program Management, Lean Management, and Change Management.

  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Conduct regular program reviews and status meetings.

  • Manage and monitor risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.

  • Prepare and present status reports to senior leadership as needed.

  • Maintain a repository of program documentation and lessons learned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field and at least six years of experience supporting complex portfolios of projects.

Additional experience/skills required:

  • Expert understanding of MBSE and systems Engineering processes

  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, navigate at the expert level with program management methodologies and frameworks

  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale systems engineering programs

  • In-depth understanding and experience with cross program Risk Management, Schedule Management, and Status Reporting

  • Experience with managing multiple stakeholders both internal and external

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or another related engineering or computer science discipline

  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering Vee

  • OCSMP or CSEP certification

  • PMP certification

  • Experience supporting Navy SSP Strategic Weapons System

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
