Pfizer Sr Manager, Capacity Planning in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

What You Will Achieve

This position reports to the Site Supply Chain, Logistics and Customer Service lead. The Sr Capacity Planning Manager is responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams to drive planning and execution process improvements that will reduce planning errors, improve planning decisions, and optimize for network performance to effectively manage site capacity and master data requirements across all site operational functions.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and site cross functional teams to define and deploy site Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

  • Develop and deploy master data governance program across the site.

  • Define, measure, analyze, control, and improve S&OP process and develop clearly defined metrics

  • Collaborate with Site Planning & Scheduling Manager to ensure master schedules align with capacity plan to deliver continuous supply to our patients.

  • Develop capacity simulation processes to run sensitivity analysis for growth and present to senior leaders on a quarterly basis.

  • Lead resolution of key supply-demand/service-cost issues

  • Facilitating relationship between site operations and market customers.

  • Securing accurate demand plan for the site by proactively managing changes and exceptions in multiple systems.

  • Analyzing and negotiating supply strategy and maintaining supply chain agreements with each customer.

  • Coordinating customer communications and site customer service metrics.

  • Interacting with multiple plant departments to ensure that customer service and inventory goals are met.

  • Supporting new product launches, product transfers and change projects.

  • Providing input into the site Sales/Demand and Operations Planning process.

  • Manage group of colleagues who are responsible for the following: Initiating, reviewing and maintaining orders and documentation for use in manufacturing, planning and warehouse; develop and track adherence to site capacity plans through manufacturing, inbound quality, final release quality and logistics.

  • Creating a state of audit readiness and participating in and/or leading self-audits.

  • Executing HR processes (staffing, development planning, talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, discipline, recognition).

  • Develop process to assess and mitigate assumptions, risk, and adjustments to operational plan using all cross functional team input and impact to financial and supply plans.

  • Analyze and upload timely and accurate periods of 18 months' operational capacities monthly

  • Lead monthly Capacity Planning meeting to achieve consensus between functions and stakeholders

  • Lead the coordination, facilitation, and documentation of regularly scheduled capacity planning meetings and escalate to senior leadership any critical outliers.

  • Review, store, and backup final adjusted and unadjusted capacity plans

  • Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and S&OP processes

Scope/complexity:

  • Maintain adequate supply products to four continents; meeting compliance standards of over 18 countries.

  • Manages master data records for over 300 Finished Good SKU's

  • Supply 130 Medically Necessary and Significant DP SKUs.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree is required, in Integrated Supply Chain Management preferred or related field and a minimum of 9 years of experience;

  • OR Master's degree plus 7 years of experience is required.

  • Hands on experience with supply chain ERP software SAP required.

  • Previous experience as a manager of colleagues is required and experience leading OTE and Staff work force is preferred.

  • Sales & Operations Planning leadership experience required. APICS Certification desired.

  • Functional/Technical Knowledge:SAP (APO, SNP, ECC), Microsoft Office programs; specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.

  • Exposure to multiple manufacturing practices, supply chain management, inventory maintenance and project management experience highly desirable. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, ability to share vision, direction, and data with colleagues across all levels and in a wide range of different work groups. Demonstrated skills in leading, planning, integrating, coordinating similar/related teams, work processes and/or functions. Thorough knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean.

  • Comprehensive demonstrated skills in facilitating trust, understanding, growth, empowering and enabling employee, business and customer relationships. Proven track record of delivering results consistently while being a role model for the Pfizer Leader Behaviors

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Travel to other Pfizer sites may be required infrequently. This position will operate primarily on first shift.
