Job Description
BAE Systems in Rome, NY is seeking a motivated Systems Administrator to join a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities include:
Install and support a secure environment made up of Windows and Linux systems, Cisco networking and security technologies and various web/data application services
Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems
Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access
Perform maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement, firmware updates and system configuration changes
Apply compliance controls to secure systems
Interface with stakeholders and provide technical guidance
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
5 years of experience in requirements analysis, systems engineering, operations and maintenance, network systems administration and/or configuration management
Experience writing scripts (Linux, Shell, PowerShell), patching, updating systems and responding to requirements
Network and application security (e.g., encryption, SSL, auditing, etc.) experience
DOD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (such as CCNA-Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, SSCP)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and effectively communicate details with all levels of management
Active Secret clearance
Familiarity with crossdomain technologies and requirements
Basic knowledge of Agile development
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $68700 - $116800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
