The Finance Transformation Analyst is responsible for building and enhancing US Foods Finance Transformation capabilities. In support of the Finance Transformation Manager or the Senior Manager, Finance Transformation, the Finance Transformation Analyst drives the vision and strategy for finance process improvement and system performance during IT system implementations. A component of this role is to maximize the generated ROI produced by an accounting and finance functionality within a system by representing the technical expertise of Field and Corporate Finance Business users through the facilitation of process workshops, business requirements collection, assisting with IT test case design and related accounting system validations.
The right candidate is a strategic thinker with the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities, offering a proven track record of technical accounting knowledge, and process improvements insights that leverage industry best practices. They must possess the ability to rapidly earn trust with both stakeholders and team members and can work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Finance Transformation Analyst position is completely 100% remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interview stakeholders from different distribution centers and accounting functions to identify or validate current state and future state finance workflows, and site-specific requirements identification
Develop test cases to aid in confirming financial completeness and accuracy
Perform test case accounting system data validation
Research identified issues and assist with tracking, resolution and retesting errors identified during system testing
Assist with the development of change requests documentation
Collaborate with cross functional accounting teams, Supply Chain and IT to understand the business needs in developing the test cases
Partner with the development teams to ensure requirements are achieved and end-user experience expectations are met
Document meeting notes and action items for one or more functions in support of the Finance Transformation team’s scalability and accountability
Adhere to project timelines, sprints, and provide insights to support progress status updates
Collaborate with the Finance Transformation Manager, Senior Manager Finance Transformation and Accounting/Finance business subject matter experts to troubleshoot accounting challenges
Collaborate with the Change Management and Learning and Development teams to provide accounting technical insight for the development of training and process documentation and user acceptance testing (as needed) for a particular function
Assist in reviewing current and future state workflows including P2P, O2C, inventory accounting, month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, audit/internal controls
Help analyze current finance system usage and business processes to identify gaps, pain points, inefficiencies, process standardization opportunities and prioritize solutions for improved efficiency and automation
Other duties as assigned by the Financial Systems Manager
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: The position is expected to interact with different teams within the Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain and IT.
External : This role will be responsible for handling vendor communications and resources from various vendors
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Remote : This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of accounting/finance work experience or finance system implementation work experience required (in role or similar role)
Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology or related analytical field required (or related experience)

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $65,000 - $100,000.
This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
