US Foods Sr Manager, Treasury Capital Markets (Hybrid: Onsite and Remote Work) in Rosemont, Illinois

The Sr Manager, Treasury Capital Markets, works closely with the VP, Treasurer to manage all aspects of the capital structure of the company including debt management, capital markets, and credit rating activities. The role has interactions with bankers from financial institutions for debt capital market services. The role owns the company’s relationships with leasing providers and financial institutions for share repurchase services.
This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of 2 days onsite per week and the rest remote.
Responsibilities:
Support the CFO in developing share repurchase goals and strategies. Review cash flow projections, recommend use of 10b5-18 plans and/or accelerated share repurchase plans. Execute program by coordinating timing and blackout periods with Legal Department, selecting broker(s) and managing daily communication with broker.
Participate in capital structure strategy and decisions, negotiations of debt refinancing and capital markets issuances; responsible for modeling financing scenarios.
Responsible for leasing tractors and trailers, including management of relationships with existing lessors and sourcing new financing partners. Annually complete requests for proposals from lessors, select lessors and allocate spend. Review and execute master lease agreements and ongoing lease schedules.
Manage ongoing payments and reporting for synthetic real estate leases financing numerous distribution centers. Collaborate with Real Estate Department and external advisors related to end of lease decisions. Prepare related interest expense budgets and forecasts.
Responsible for debt management, including analysis of compliance with debt agreements, payment of all interest and principal, completion of covenant reporting, reporting of borrowing base levels, and management of collateral audits and appraisals by third parties.
Partner with Treasurer and internal and external legal counsel for interpretation and analysis of loan agreements and covenant analysis.
Responsible for debt, net debt, interest expense and interest payment reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis Department to complete the annual operating plan, update the forecast on a monthly basis; report monthly actual results.
Calculate and report interest expense and interest paid by day for each tranche of debt. Pay interest invoices after reviewing for accuracy and compliance with loan agreement. Submit borrowing notices to lenders monthly.
Partner with Treasurer and third-party advisor for interest rate risk management to set policy, analyze debt portfolio, execute derivatives and complete ongoing accounting, reporting and payment/receipt settlements. Coordinate accounting with Controller’s Group.
Review debt and liquidity disclosures in SEC filings, Board reports, and management reports.
Create and manage the calendar of required actions necessary to remain in compliance with debt agreements and other Treasury agreements.
Own issuance and reporting of letters of credit, manage capacity under revolving credit agreement.
Partner with the Sr Manager, Treasury Operations to ensure the banking structure complies with credit agreement requirements.
Provide back-up to the Sr Manager, Treasury Operations in various areas of the cash management function.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Relationships:
Internal: Works directly with VP, Treasurer; works closing with legal department attorneys and supporting staff, Real Estate, FP&A, SVP, Controller, and Controller’s Group staff.
External: Manage the relationship with lessors, typically banking partners or equipment manufacturers, and their support teams; third-party interest rate management advisory; external legal counsel.
Minimum Qualifications:
8-10 years of treasury experience with emphasis on debt issuance and ongoing management, capital structure optimization, leasing and share repurchase programs with large public company; cash management experience a plus.
Strong existing relationships with bankers and lessors.
Understanding of non-investment grade debt structures, covanents, and accounting for debt activities.
Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Experience working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work and think independently; self-starter.
Strong collaborative skills, ability to build partnerships with leaders across the organization and influence others.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related analytical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
