Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for maintenance and repair of industrial equipment. Duties include pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing old and new equipment, and troubleshooting in accordance with the manuals and schematics. Technicians work a minimum of 40 hours per week, which may include nights, weekends, and on-call hours for emergencies.

Essential Functions:
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and hydraulic, electrical, and electronic testing devices.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control problems; troubleshoot using schematic and manuals.
Assemble, install, repair wiring, electronic components, and equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendation.
Keep machines, mechanical equipment and the structure of establishment running during production.
Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance per the production schedule to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
Inspect, operate, test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Prioritize the work based on importance and delivery time of the project and production schedule.
Inspect gages, valves, pressure regulators, drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery; remove any scrap material.
Assemble and disassemble machines, equipment, or devices to access and repair or overhaul equipment.
Research and solicit quotes from manufacturing vendors for machine replacement parts to include part prices/availability, manufacturer's specifications, warranty status, estimate approval or other related items for cost-effective investment.
Work in compliance of all safety regulations.
Recommend improvements and participate in safety/OSHA training and committees.
Maintain complete documentation for each manufacturing machine regarding repairs, upgrades, and other relevant data in the work order database.
Ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a technical training degree plus three (3) years of experience or more in a maintenance and manufacturing environment.
Advanced controls and automation troubleshooting experience.
Must have strong troubleshooting, electrical diagrams, and technical skills.
Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals.
Strong understanding of industrial power systems (110, 220, 230, 480) Vac.
Analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills that require basic English language aptitude (verbal, read and write).
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the manufacturing environment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work above 20 feet above ground in a scissor or man lift: have a current and valid driver’s license.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Emphasis on technical troubleshooting, working with heavy machinery; install, maintain, modify, electrical systems in plant; mechanical/electrical/electronic repair or comparable education and training relating to facilities and capital equipment maintenance.
Willingness to travel and receive additional training on new technologies in machines and equipment.

Safety Gear: Proper safety gear, such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses, is essential to protect against potential hazards.
Pay Grade 11: $31.98 - $34.85
The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
