BAE Systems Antenna/RF Engineering Intern in Saint Inigoes, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking candidates for 2024 summer internships supporting RF/Antenna Engineering. At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services. The selected candidate will gain invaluable experience working with operational radio communications systems equipment including testing and verifying the characteristics of high power antennas on US Navy shipboard platforms.

Internships at BAE Systems feature additional opportunities including:

Networking with BAE Systems employees and interns.

Informational sessions on a variety of topics exclusively for interns.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School diploma and actively in an Engineering or Engineering Technology degree program from an accredited university or college (preferred academic track is Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Engineering Technology program, but others technical academic tracks will be considered)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Knowledge of equipment like oscilloscopes, multi-meters and signal generators

Pay Information

This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance. You may be eligible to receive a cash payment in lieu of certain benefits. Any such payments would be governed by the contract(s) on which you work, a Department of Labor Wage Determination, and your work schedule.
