BAE Systems Engineering Technologist II (Radio Communication Systems) in Saint Inigoes, Maryland
Job Description
The selected candidate oversees the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of an extensive variety of U.S. Navy equipment and communication systems and will spend a considerable amount of time supporting military standard maritime and aviation software defined transceivers that operate in the VHF to VHF SATCOM and HF spectrum. Laboratory testing of systems and components of systems as well as U.S. Navy and USCG Fleet support. Development or update of test procedures and review of technical documentation for accuracy. Must work well independently in a fast-paced environment. Limited domestic and international travel possible.
This position will require direct customer interface, working independently or in a small team under significant schedule constraints.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Some limited relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and a minimum of 6 years of experience in planning, installation, integration and test and evaluation of shipboard electronic systems
U.S. Navy Electronics Technician training/experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Military Electronic Technician A school
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70516 - $119891
