Job Description

The National Accounts Sales Director is responsible for assisting with Prime’s sales strategies and building a robust pipeline of viable new sales opportunities that encompass direct to employer sales. This position is also responsible for collaborating with senior leadership and subject matter experts across the enterprise to ideate and implement changes that create and increase sales.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing business development activities to build a pipeline of prospective sales within National Accounts

  • Build and foster relationships with consultants and prospective clients; conduct discovery meetings, and advance awareness/understanding of Prime’s value proposition

  • Develop finalist meeting presentations and prepare the internal finalist meeting attendees to present effectively and cohesively at a finalist presentation

  • Lead the internal team to prepare the comprehensive and accurate proposal in response to a RFP

  • Manage internal stakeholders through the end-to-end RFP selling process; conduct a thorough, qualitative review of the RFP to proactively engage senior leadership, key stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout the organization to provide insight and key details about the prospect to best position Prime to win the RFP

  • Accountable direct-to-employer bid deliverables inclusive of response to plan/consultant key questions, executive summaries, and the timeliness and accuracy of the overall response

  • Partner with, and actively engage internal counsel and cross-functional stakeholders on contracting needs of client prospects

  • Provide day-to-day work direction, mentoring and support to sales development managers; participate in the staffing selection and lead sales team onboarding process

  • Document progress with sales opportunities and update consultant contact information in Salesforce

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED required

  • 8 years of experience in business development, business to business sales or sales support

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and consultation skills; demonstrated ability to distill financial or PBM related concepts or situations into concise and compelling messages

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and create opportunities, develop effective selling messages, presentations and proposals

  • Exceptional communication and relationship development skills both internally and externally

  • Exceptional organizational, project management and time management skills

  • Known as a subject matter expert in one or more areas within the industry

  • Excellent business development acumen, critical thinking and customer orientation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or a related field

  • Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management and/or Health Insurance

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Vice President of Sales

Potential pay for this position ranges from $124,000.00 - $211,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
